Nicholas Wilton

Nicholas Wilton attended the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and graduated from Art
Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California. Rich in color, texture and symbols, Wilton’s work references a personal vocabulary of botanical forms, patterns and abstract designs. In addition to gallery exhibitions and the inclusion in numerous private collections, Nicholas Wilton’s paintings have been featured internationally in editorial and corporate print media. He has illustrated the children’s books "Feathers and Fools" by Mem Fox, "Where Do the Butterflies
Go When It Rains?" by Mae Garelick and “Right Outside My Window” by Mary Ann Hoberman. His paintings have appeared on numerous book covers, including the national best seller "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

He has received awards from the Marin Arts Council, Society of
Illustrators, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, New York Art Directors Club, A.I.G.A, RSVP Directory, and American Illustration. In 2002 Nicholas Wilton’s work was selected for the cover of the international design annual Communication Arts.

Nicholas also teaches seminars and workshops based upon a method he developed called ArtPlane, a technique employing fundamental painting principles combined with a more intuitive approach to the creative process.

Nicholas lives in northern California with his wife, Jennie
Oppenheimer and their two daughters.

Jennie Oppenheimer

Jennie Oppenheimer is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Art Center College of Design. An avid traveler, Jennie's work has been informed by the fabrics, weathered architecture and colors found in many cultures. Her work is a playful exploration of pattern, texture, and color. It has been featured in numerous cookbooks and editorial publications, as gift cards and papers, packaging, and as backdrops for retail environments.

Jennie also teaches the Artplane Workshop. She lives in northern California with her husband, Nicholas Wilton and two daughters.
